About the Company/Opportunity: Vaco is partnering with a leading renewable energy company to hire a Staff or Senior Accountant (based on experience). This is an exciting opportunity to join a mission-driven team supporting both corporate and project-level financial operations as the company leads the way toward a sustainable energy future. Location: North County San Diego - Hybrid (3 days onsite required) Job Title:Staff or Senior Accountant Salary Range:$75,0000 - $95,000 + Bonus Job Overview:Seeking a Staff or Senior Accountant to support corporate and project-level financial operations. Responsibilities: Manage full-cycle month-end and quarter-end close, including journal entries, reconciliations, and SAP ledger maintenance. Prepare and review account schedules and workpapers (ProSystems FX) for financial reporting and audit readiness. Support IFRS reporting packages and US GAAP audits for assigned project entities. Maintain and reconcile intercompany balances. Handle operational accounting activities including invoicing, vendor follow-ups, and SAP setup support. Collaborate cross-functionally and support external audit processes. Mentor junior team members and contribute to process improvement efforts. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. 1-3+ years of public accounting experience (Staff: 1-2 years; Senior: 3+ years). Strong foundation in US GAAP and/or IFRS Experience with SAP and ProSystems FX a plus. Advanced Excel skills and high attention to detail.
