Up to $7,500 Sign On Bonus Location: Henry Ford Providence Southfield Hospital Department: Respiratory Therapy Shift: Full Time - 36 hours per week / 7am-7:30pm / WEEKENDS ONLY - Fri, Sat, Sun or Sat, Sun, Mon GENERAL SUMMARY Under general supervision of the Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, delivers life-support, resuscitation, monitoring and various medical gases therapy primarily to critical care patients in the Intensive Care Units. Performs invasive and non-invasive diagnostic procedures to Intensive Care and General Practice Units patients. Maintains clinical expertise for Departmental assignments at various business units throughout HFHS, as assigned. Communicates effectively with patients, co-workers, physicians and other system employees as needed, regarding patient care needs. Adequately documents all aspects of patient care. Supervises, directs and delegates to respiratory orients, externs and students, as assigned. Completes necessary and accurate patient billing information. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. - 3-5 years of ICU experience preferred NICU experience a plus CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association accepted. Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Respiratory Care obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted. Certification specializing in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) preferred. Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association accepted.
