Emerson Health is looking for a dedicated and dynamic Manager of Infection Prevention to lead our hospital-wide infection control efforts and champion best practices in patient safety. In this on-site leadership role, you will work closely with front-line staff and clinical leaders to implement, monitor, and enhance our infection prevention strategies. Reporting to the Director of Infection Control, Patient Safety & Clinical Compliance, you will be a key driver of quality improvement and regulatory readiness across our organization. Minimum Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Graduate of an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing program required.
  • Master's degree in Public Health, Nursing, Epidemiology or related field preferred.
  • Experience:
  • Three years experience in Infection Prevention required.
  • Acute healthcare experience required.
  • Licensure and/or Certification:
    • Current license as a registered nurse required.
    • Current CIC certification, or obtained within 6 months of hire.
    • Current APIC membership preferred.
    • BLS required, or must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
  • Skills:
  • Must be able to maintain a database for infection surveillance data.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis and performance improvement.
  • Strong leadership, mentorship and teaching skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and exemplary conflict resolution skill set
  • Ability to work independently and facilitate teams

  • Presentation skills
  • Proven problem solving, process improvement and project management skills
  • Able to read, write, and communicate in English
  • Computer skills appropriate to position
