Job Title: Construction Manager Location with zip code: Spring Valley, NY 10977 Duration: 3 Months Temp. Role Pay Rate. $60-75/hr. on W2 without Benefits. Shift Timing: Standard Qualifications 10+ years of experience in field construction is required. Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a construction related field (or equivalent construction related work experience). Experience in the construction of 50,000+ square foot commercial buildings and/or building additions. Requires extensive knowledge of construction related processes, as well as a thorough knowledge of industry practices. Demonstrated effective managerial capability, as well as strong written and oral communications skills. Must be experienced in managing and processing contractor submittals during construction. Role & Responsibilities: Client is now hiring a Construction Manager who can lead a team of professionals overseeing the construction management of major building construction. In this role as an Owner's Representative you will facilitate all on-site field construction activities performed by the General Contractor associated with the completion of a project (Typically a project having a total installed cost of $15 million or more.) We will need you to apply methods and techniques to be utilized for construction management In addition to construction management supervision, the incumbent is also responsible for field administration and processing of construction submittals. The Construction Manager will work on behalf of the client and the client with responsibilities including: Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule Monitors General Contractor's manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain project schedule Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are being met by the performing Contractor for each phase of the project Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher level management and clients, including formal presentations Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies Serves as the primary contact with representatives for construction related activities Maintains strong client and community relations Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
