The Opportunity This opportunity to join the Department of Pediatrics at the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor is an exciting one. (Proposed academic rank will be commensurate with training and experience.) Columbia University Irving Medical Center, one of the nation's foremost academic health science center's working together with one of the nation's premier health systems, New York-Presbyterian Hospital. The Division of Pediatric Cardiology at the Columbia University Irving Medical Center and Morgan Stanley Children's Hospital of New York-Presbyterian seeks a full-time Pediatric Interventional Catheterization Cardiologist to join our faculty and provide services at the main Columbia University Medical Center campus, as well as our newest facility at the Center of Excellence in Westchester opening in September 2025. The desired candidate has clinical and research experience in congenital cardiology and specific experience with cardiac catheterization procedures. Candidates must be board certified or eligible in Pediatric Cardiology. The New York Presbyterian Pediatric Heart Program (joint with Cornell University) is ranked among the nation's top cardiology & heart surgery programs by US News & World Report. Our training program includes 16 general cardiology fellows and 2 advanced training fellows. Our combined surgical program treats patients with the highest disease complexity. The Pediatric Cardiac Catheterization Imaging Laboratory at Columbia University Irving Medical center is one of the largest programs for children with congenital heart disease in the United States, with over 1,000 catheterizations performed annually. The section includes 4 full-time interventional cardiologists that perform the full complement of catheterizations from newborn through adults with congenital heart disease. Key Responsibilities
