The Department of Biomedical Informatics at Columbia University is seeking a qualified candidate with a strong training background in both nursing research and biomedical informatics. The ideal candidate will be supervised and mentored by Principal Investigator, Dr. Chunhua Weng. The ideal candidate will support the Principal Investigator in preparing research grant applications, conducting scientific studies, and contributing to scholarly publications. Additionally, the candidate will lead user-centered design and evaluation efforts for informatics interventions within Weng's lab. This opening is enabled by several R01 funded research projects. Position requires a Ph.D. in Nursing, Biomedical or Health Informatics, or other related fields. Additional requirements: Experience with modern statistical analysis, data mining and machine learning methods; * Proficient with computer programming in popular languages such as Python or Java; * Have had at least two peer-reviewed publications in high-impact journals or premiere conferences; * Possess excellent written and oral English communication skills.
