The Role

The VP Product - Public Sector will focus on leadership and strategic responsibilities within the Public Sector product segment. The position requires collaboration across various teams to enhance product offerings and ensure alignment with customer needs and market trends. In this role you will be accountable for identifying opportunities for improvement and incorporating new product features; engaging stakeholders to align clear, actionable product strategies to deliver optimal results and meet the needs of customers in the Public Sector segment.

The Main Responsibilities
  • Take accountability for the success and growth of the Public Sector product segment including owning and driving a strong P&L.
  • Collaborate with product teams, sales, marketing, service delivery, and other key ecosystem partners to develop and translate requirements, prioritize enhancements, and drive a best-in-class product experience for customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional partners like GTM team on how to "productize" the solution.
  • Define, monitor, and improve all key product segments metrics including adoption, customer net promoter score (NPS), volume of leads, and more.
  • Prioritize the product roadmap for the Public Sector in line with market research, customer feedback, and ecosystem partners' capacity.
  • Monitor and analyze market research and trends to inform strategy and decisions for the Public Sector, ensuring alignment with the latest industry developments and customer preferences.
  • Evangelize the vision through innovation and delivery.
  • Ensure clear communication between teams and stakeholders for seamless working relationships.
  • Identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities within the Public Sector, fostering innovation to maintain a competitive edge and drive future revenue growth.
  • Identify revenue growth opportunities and communicate potential overlap in opportunities with other segment leaders to drive alignment.
What We Look For in a Candidate
  • The ideal candidate should have a bachelor's degree and over 15 years of relevant experience with 10+ years of leadership experience.
  • A proven track record in launching successful Public Sector products.
  • Strong communication, team building, and prioritization skills are essential, along with familiarity with specific product offerings like SASE, Dark Fiber, Colo VPN, Enterprise Broadband, VoIP, Lumen Digital, M&P, and UCC products as they relate to the Public Sector.
  • Ability to prioritize among competing opportunities, balance customer needs with business priorities, and clearly articulate the rationale behind decisions.
  • Versatile team player with demonstrated writing and presentation skills for all levels of an audience.
  • Ability to lead a team of high performing people leaders and individual contributors.
  • Experience as a general manager would be ideal
Compensation

This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.

Location Based Pay Ranges
$207,022 - $276,030 in all states.
