Molex LLC is a leading supplier of interconnect solutions for the automotive, medical, consumer electronics, and datacom industries that link today's world and solve tomorrow's challenges. Molex is seeking a Principal Platform Engineer to lead the design and implementation of a robust compute strategy.

Our Team

This role is a part of the Developer Enablement and Cloud team responsible for defining, developing, and executing on Developer and Cloud enablement and operations that optimize service delivery and support business strategies for a global Molex One. As such, this person will be responsible for establishing computer strategies for managing applications at scale.

What You Will Do

  • Lead the technology strategy of the Developer Enablement Platform supporting business units leveraging this platform.
  • Lead platform services (e.g. Argo, Traeffik) and provide support to other tech stacks horizontally within the digital delivery portfolio.
  • Ensure that architectural solutions meet performance, scalability, and security requirements.
  • Evaluating and recommending new technologies, tools, and processes to improve the ecosystem.
  • Conducting architectural reviews and ensuring compliance with best practices and standards.
  • Deploy, configure, and maintain Kubernetes clusters (on-prem or cloud-based) to support production and staging environments.
  • Partner with developers to containerize applications and provide Kubernetes expertise, while supporting broader team goals in platform operations.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • At least 10 years of hands-on experience working with technologies in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
  • Proven expertise in platform development, including architecture, scaling, and maintenance of complex systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge in areas such as cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GCP), distributed systems, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience with modern programming languages and frameworks (e.g., Java, Python, Node.js, Kubernetes).
  • Experience in building developer platforms or tools.

For this role, we anticipate paying $150,000 - $200,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
