Moffatt & Nichol specializes in large complex waterfront infrastructure projects and is recognized as one of the worldwide leaders in this field. We are actively looking for a Senior Aviation Consultant to join our Pensacola office on a part-time basis. The Aviation Consultant will have specialized expertise in Navy aviation flight operations and provide guidance and advice related to aircraft operations, air traffic control planning procedures, safety procedures, asset use, and assist in programs and projects related to the economic development of potential projects.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides expertise on Navy flight operations including:
    1. Air Traffic Control
    2. Safety Procedures
    3. Training
  • Advise on planned, developed, and directed programs and projects for related to counties surrounding navy property
  • Subject Matter Expert for feasibility study related to land swap with Navy and local county

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering or military programs
  • 15 yrs experience in Naval Aviation Operations; required
  • Experience with municipal or county operations; required
  • Certified Pilot; required
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
  • Availability and willingness to travel
  • Possess DBIDS card or eligibility to successfully pass background check to secure Department of Defense DBIDS card and other badges required by clients
  • Due to client parameters, selected candidate must show (post offer) proof of U.S. citizenship and clear results of a thorough background check that may include but is not limited to credit and criminal history
  • All new hires will be required to successfully complete and pass a pre-employment (post offer) background check in compliance with NIST 800-171
  • Moffatt & Nichol uses E-Verify and employment is contingent upon the legal ability to obtain employment in the U.S. and to present the required documentation at hire
