Who we are

We are space radiation experts for 30 years now! We are passionate about innovation and R&D projects that allow us to continuously improve the support we bring to our clients. Started out as an electronic component radiation test Company in France, we are today established in the US via our TRAD Inc subsdiduary and with technical sales representatives in 6 States. Our offer has also evolved to include radiation engineering and consulting services as well as two products: FASTRAD and R2COTS. FASTRAD is a 3D Radiation Simulation Software allowing to calculate the dose received at electronic component level, at board & system level as well as at material level, for a specific space mission. With R2COTS our offer expands to Space-Ready COTS with radiation and reliability qualification. We are a subsidiary of 3D PLUS and member of the American Group HEICO.

About the role

Due to strong growth in the US territory, we are looking for a passionate individual to join us as a FASTRAD Application Engineer in the USA. The role will focus on customer satisfaction and experience with FASTRAD as part of the pre-sales process in support to the Marketing and Business Development teams as well as part of the after-sales process, by implementing a high level customer training and technical support.

Tasks and Responsibilities



  • Ensure high quality technical support to FASTRAD customers in the US.
  • Using FASTRAD, provide technical support on the assessment of radiation effects on materials, electronic components and systems.
  • Participate in conferences, symposia and exhibits representing the company.
  • Collect information about end-user applications, and help develop new functionalities in collaboration with the radiation engineering and software development teams.
  • Organize and conduct FASTRAD trainings for customers, either at customers' sites in the US, or remotely. Ensure technical training programs fit customer needs, discuss and understand customer's technical requirements and adapt the necessary training.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Business Development team of TRAD, as well as the technical sales representatives, during the customers qualification phase, demonstrations or general meetings with potential customers.
  • Ensure that the sales representatives in the US are properly trained and up-to-date on the latest FASTRAD version.
  • Propose and work on radiation effects related projects and publish in conferences.
  • Be aware and help promote the complementary offer of services and products of the company (engineering, testing, software and COTS components).

Requirements

Your profile



  • Master's degree or PhD in Physics, Electronics, Mechnical Engineering or related and at least 5 years of experience in the field, in a scientific or industrial sector
  • Good technical writing skills
  • Previous technical and scientific publications
  • Good project management skills
  • Ability to work across levels, functions, and geographies
  • Service orientation, customer focus and drive to help others
  • Resourcefulness and solid problem-solving skills
  • Emotional intelligence and ability to deal with customer requests in a diplomatic way
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility
  • Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time
  • Driving license



You are business oriented and already possess your own network in the radiation effects field or, in more general, in the space industry sector. You know how to use your knowledges and network to develop partnerships and projects as well as new sales opportunities for FASTRAD and the TRAD services and products in general.

You are independent and organized, and able to handle multiple tasks at once.
