The Experience You Will Bring Requirements: * Three years of experience performing maintenance on a veneer lathe including preventative maintenance tasks * Experience with precision instruments * One year of Lathe experience * Basic electrical experience * Experience with hydraulic system repairs What Will Put You Ahead: * 5+ years of lathe experience * Basic computer skills * Experience with lathe rebuilds * Leadership experience * Experience performing mechanical alignments and electronic calibration * 1+ years of controls component experience * Experience with planning and scheduling maintenance What You Will Do in Your Role: * Provide training and oversight to operators * Utilize your skillset to positively impact lathe key performance indicators (KPI's) * Plan and scheduling lathe work * Lead your team to increase reliability and efficiency at the lathe * Manage team to ensure housekeeping is performed at the deck and lathe * Ensure critical spares are on site and available when needed * Work to resolve issues quickly to prevent impacts on KPIs * Maintain lathe through preventative and scheduled maintenance
Other Considerations: * Work in a hot, cold, noisy, humid industrial environment * Perform physical tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for at least 12 hours a day * The classification for this position will be Lathe Master Technician - starting pay is commensurate with experience. * This is a Day Shift position, but overtime and shift work (days, nights, or relief) could be required, as necessary.
