About the Position: Using independent judgement, the skilled Software Developer with experience in Windows desktop applications will work directly with the Senior Software Developer with a wide range of projects related to operational and process control systems for industrial manufacturing. What You'll Do:
- Develop and maintain Windows desktop applications using C#, .NET, and WinForms
- Work with SQL Server databases including stored procedures and schema design
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations
- Debug, troubleshoot, and improve existing software systems
- Significant time must be spent on the shop floor working with and speaking with operators and engineers to evaluate system performance and find additional areas for improvement
- Assist Maintenance Electronics, Senior Software Developer, Systems Engineer and EGI Corporate IT in troubleshooting of hardware, software or network issues when necessary
- Works with Systems Engineer and Senior Software Developer to provide minimum system down time for all users
- Other projects as requested, including travel (locally, nationally and internationally), if required.
- Abides by all policies and procedures established by the Company including plant safety regulations and work rules
- Must be available for situations that may arise outside the course of the regular workday or workweek.
- Meets attendance requirements.
- Performs other duties as deemed necessary.
What You'll Need:

Minimum Associate Degree in Computer Science or similar field required, Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar field preferred
Required qualifications and experience include: a minimum two (2) years of professional experience with: C#, .NET Framework and WinForms; SQL Server; Experience with version controls systems like Git; Strong problem solving and communication skills; ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Preferred qualifications include: Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting; Python development experience (automation, scripting or integration tasks) and familiarity with WPF, Entity Framework or .NET Core, REST APIs, MQTT/messaging suites and SSRS or other reporting tools
- Required to have a valid Driver's License
- Ability to travel, as required
