SUMMARY

To assist on the Fux machine as needed. Including operate, grade, feed, and drive forklift.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

May include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Drive forklift to transport material, supplies, and stock.
• Learn to operate the Fux machine as back up operator.
• Grade material for any defects and ensure good quality.
• Communicate any quality defects to the operator.
• Package material as it comes off line.
• Housekeeping of area daily.
• Assist by moving to other departments to fill in where needed.
• Maintain level of quality consistent with established standards.
• Comply with established safety rules and use required safety equipment.
• Comply with company policy and procedures.
• Maintain constructive working relationships with co-workers, leads, supervisors and managers.
• Maintain regular attendance in accordance with company policy.
• Perform other duties as assigned to the satisfaction of supervisor and/or lead.

Job Qualifications:

• Education/Knowledge

Less than high school education, or up to one month related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Experience

3-6 months of experience driving forklift.

• Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

• Communication

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high precarious places.
