Overview
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking qualified candidates to administer United States Air Force (USAF) unit-level security policies and procedures as a security assistant and perform a variety of administrative tasks in support of senior staff, commanders, and directors. This position supports the Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center (AFOTEC) Detachment 3 Test & Evaluation Team at Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska. Administers and coordinates DoD and other industrial security programs to ensure compliance with government and company security policies and procedures. Provides guidance and support to staff members concerning all security administrative functions such as personnel security, information and system security, COMSEC to ensure compliance with standards. Provides administrative security support associated with the receipt, distribution, inventory, reproduction and disposition of classified material. May act as Top-Secret Control Officer (TSCO) for projects. Prepares, sends, and receives visitor certifications. Assists with loss investigation and security violations. Tracks and maintains the Computer Based Training (CBT) record for unit members.
Responsibilities
Ensure implementation and administration of information security policies and procedures supporting the conduct of AFOTEC Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), Special Access Programs (SAPs) OT&E.
- Ensure strict adherence to the provisions of the NISPOM, its Supplement, the DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, and SAP policy.
- Assist in developing and executing approved policies and procedures for safeguarding Special Access Program (SAP), Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and collateral data in support of US military operations.
- Assist with the implementation of DOD and, USAF, and MAJCOM policies and develops local procedures for the classification and protection of classified national defense and other sensitive information originated or controlled by installation activities.
- Provide "day-to-day" support for Collateral, Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and Special Access Program (SAP) activities.
- Maintain various daily logs for a variety of administrative functions associated with document control.
- Track and manage training program for the unit, track completion and required training.
- Coordinate, perform, and manage a variety of tasks and activities in direct support of organizational commanders, directors, and senior leaders to include office management, executive staff support, postal, official mail, and a variety of other services and duties.
- Assist in the processing of inbound data and outbound data transfer files.
- Assist with researching, processing, filing, and maintaining inbound and outbound visit requests.
- Escort facility visitors and maintains associated logs.
- Perform various administrative functions in support of military and civilian leaders.
Qualifications
- Knowledge / use of the Defense Information System for Security (DISS)
- Knowledge / use of Joint Access Database Environment (JADE)
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI), Air Force Instructions (AFI), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Instructions (CJCSI) governing Special Programs and collateral accesses
- Familiar with security incident processing procedures
- At least one year experience as a Security Manager, Security Assistant or Security Specialist at the unit level or above.
- Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Security Administration, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field, and 2-4 years of related work experience. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Security-related certifications are desirable, such as: Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Security Professional (CSP), Industrial Security Professional (ISP), Facility Security Officer (FSO) certification, or completion of Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency's (DCSA) Industrial Security Representative (ISR) training
- REQUIRED SECURITY CLEARANCE: Candidates must have current TOP SECRET clearance and will be required to obtain other special security access (SAP) and SCI to perform the work. Must have a current background investigation within the last six years from actual hire date. Candidates with a SECRET clearance will be considered, but preference will be given to those with active TOP SECRET/SCI clearances.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $54,300.00/Yr. - USD $90,700.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
