Location - This position will be based in Modesto, California with travel to our Modesto headquarters as needed.

Are you a creative and detail-oriented Front End Software Engineer looking to make a significant impact? Join our team and be responsible for the "client-side" development of digital solutions that meet business needs. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional partners to determine software requirements and ensure usability, delivering exceptional mobile and web experiences.

As a Front End Software Engineer, you will develop responsive and robust mobile applications or websites that interface with machine data, spatial, and transactional data sources, collecting and visualizing information in real-time. You will implement user experience testing practices to continuously improve our products. Maintaining a strong connection with backend engineering teams, you will synchronize development pipelines and ensure seamless data synchronization to the cloud.

You will continuously develop and release web and application enhancements, collaborating with product and engineering leadership to conceptualize outstanding mobile and web experiences. Working closely with other parts of the Engineering team, you will build end-to-end capabilities and ensure all components of the solution work harmoniously. You will also contribute to common internal libraries shared across various sites or applications.

As part of an agile team, you will embrace best practices and modern tools for iOS and/or web development, such as Git, Jira, Postman, Cocoapods, and Docker. You will interact directly with customers to understand their needs and improve software usability. Continuously learning about the industry and business challenges, you will actively participate in design and code review processes, producing high-quality code with an emphasis on software craftsmanship.

With minimal direction from Senior Developers and the Product Manager, you will develop solutions and designs that meet business needs, handling moderately complex issues and problems. Maintaining satisfactory attendance and complying with applicable quality, environmental, and safety regulations are essential aspects of this role.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of IT experience to include experience working in a web or mobile stack; OR High-school diploma plus 6 years of IT experience to include experience working in a web or mobile stack.
  • Familiar with Object Oriented Programming, Data Base/Data Modeling, SQL.
  • Understands web standards & technologies (ex. HTTP, REST and JSON).
  • Exposure to Web Development (ie. html, javascript, css) and understands web standards & technologies (HTTP, JSON, REST) or Exposure to Mobile Development practices either in PWA or iOS context.
  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation. This may be in addition to travel requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.
  • Required to be 18 years or older. This may be in addition to other age requirements, if applicable, as listed in this job description.

What Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 4 years of IT experience to include experience working in a web or mobile stack; OR High-school diploma plus 8 years of IT experience to include experience working in a web or mobile stack
  • AWS Associate or Professional Certifications are a plus.
  • Familiar with Object Oriented Programming, Data Base/Data Modeling, SQL.
  • Experience publishing an application to the App Store is a plus.
  • Experience with Web Development (ie. html, javascript, css, React or other web framework) or experience in iOS mobile development.
  • Experience working within a Agile team leveraging development tools such as Git, JIRA, VS Code, Docker or other integrated development tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices.
  • Experience working on projects with multiple engineers.
  • Experience working on an agile team.

Compensation:

  • Hiring Salary Range Posted: $43.99 - $66.01 Hourly
  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
