Summary:

We are looking for a Programs Sr. Manager for our Precision Guidance Technologies programs. In this role, you will provide technical and programmatic leadership to a multidisciplinary team responsible for successfully executing our contracted and internally funded programs. The Sr. PM provides technical oversight and guidance to the team and lays out strategy for successfully meeting design and performance requirements. Plans, monitors, and manages externally and internally funded programs from initiation through completion. Leads or coordinates programs, resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, troubleshooting and indirect people management. Monitors performance and recommends schedule changes, cost adjustments or resource additions. Responsibilities are within the Project Management function as a generalist or in a combination of disciplines.



Major Position Responsibilities

    Has P&L responsibilities for a specific program
  • Implements and administers one or more corporate programs, typically consisting of multiple programs or sub-programs
  • Executes programs that meet the needs of the organization or its employees or customers
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance
  • Promotes the program throughout the organization and tracks utilization
  • Supervises the work of program or project staff to ensure that work is completed on time or in accordance with established standards or specifications
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders


Basic Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree
  • 8-10 years' experience
  • OR equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Professional contracting certifications at the state or national levels, such as certifications offered by NCMA - CPCM, CFCM, CCCM, CCMA

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Proven record of leading large engineering and manufacturing development programs and transitioning them to production.
  • Experience with earned value management (EVM) cost accounting principles.
  • Experience with FAR and OTA contracts
  • Proven track record in building strong working relationships with customers
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  • Experience in leading and writing proposals in pursuit of new business opportunities.
  • Strong computer skills, administrative data control, scheduling and team interface
  • Must be able to possess strong, planning, execution and multitasking skills and have demonstrated ability to re-prioritize on the fly
  • Position requires a high degree of analytical aptitude with strong technical problem-solving skills
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals while performing a variety of complex tasks
  • Looks for ways to improve and promote quality
  • Must be able to manage quickly changing priorities while meeting deadlines
  • Works within the highest level of integrity, ethics, and safety
  • Operates under minimal direction and exercises moderate to independent judgment
  • Decisions are guided by policy, procedures, and business plan Professional demeanor and presentation skills for frequent meetings, presentations, and site visits

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency with MS Office 365 tools
  • MS Project, JIRA
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Less than 25% travel likely

Pay Range (USD)

$149,569.00 - $277,771.00

The salary range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum for salary for this position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, internal equity, and relevant education or training.
