We're looking for a K-12 Field CTO to lead with vision, insight, and influence. This role is centered on thought leadership-helping shape the future of technology in K-12 education by bridging innovation, policy, and practical application. As the external face of our technical strategy in the education sector, you'll advise state-level leaders, engage with the broader education community, and provide field-level insight to guide internal teams.

- Creation and delivery of influential thought leadership content: whitepapers, executive briefings, keynotes, webinars
- Measurable market impact through advisory influence on customer strategy and partner alignment
- Engagement and alignment with policy-makers, consortiums, and national/state education bodies
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the strategic technical voice of the organization for K-12 education across the SLED market.
- Lead and deliver executive-level presentations, roundtables, and thought leadership sessions with state departments of education, superintendents, and IT leaders.
- Shape market perception through published content-whitepapers, blogs, speaking engagements-that tie together technology, pedagogy, and policy.
- Influence product direction by relaying key market insights and forward-looking trends to internal product and strategy teams.
- Partner with sales and marketing to create scalable, insight-driven messaging tailored to K-12 decision-makers.
- Serve as a senior advisor to strategic customers and partners, guiding long-term architectural direction and transformation strategies.
- Represent the company at national and regional education events, summits, and forums to elevate brand presence and credibility in the K-12 space.
- Mentor internal teams on K-12-specific challenges, opportunities, and storytelling frameworks.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 10+ years of experience in education technology, enterprise IT, or public sector solutions, with a strong focus on K-12 leadership.
- Recognized thought leader or public-facing technologist with a history of publishing, speaking, or shaping market conversation.
- Deep understanding of K-12 education systems, funding channels, policy frameworks, and digital learning trends.
- Excellent communicator with a track record of executive-level influence and storytelling.
- Experience building trusted relationships with senior education officials, superintendents, CIOs, and policy influencers.
- Broad technical fluency across networking, security, cloud, and digital learning platforms.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or public sector certifications a plus.
- Willing and able to travel as needed to support strategic engagements and public appearances.
Minimum Salary: $305,600.00 Maximum Salary:$439,300.00 The pay range for this position is expected to be between $305,600.00 and $439,300.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
