GENERAL PURPOSE

The international financial reporting analyst will ensure the accuracy and compliance of affiliate financial statements with US GAAP, facilitate timely processing and distribution, and support various financial and operational tasks. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organization. Responsibilities include month-end close procedures, SOX documentation, corporate schedule preparation, audit reconciliation, cash flow submissions, and greenhouse gas emission calculations. International travel up to 10% may be required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Review of monthly/quarterly affiliate financial statements for compliance with US GAAP
  • Process and distribute financial statements on a timely basis
  • Prepare PeopleSoft journal entries and reconciliation to affiliate financial statements
  • Prepare month-end close binder and SOX internal control documentation
  • Prepare and assist with the distribution of quarterly corporate schedules
  • Assist with reconciliation of affiliate audit reports to financial statements
  • Assist with the submission of weekly cash flow to Treasury department
  • Assist with preparation of greenhouse gas emission calculations and consolidation
  • Other duties as assigned



EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • Bachelor's degree, Accounting required
  • 2+ years job-related experience required
  • US CPA or working towards CPA certification required
  • Big 4 public accounting experience preferred
  • Bilingual Spanish or French preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office with advanced skills in Excel
  • Experience with reporting financials in accordance with US GAAP
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials is a plus



OTHER QUALIFICATIONS



  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate and interact with overseas affiliate location management
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills, especially as it relates to presenting technical accounting concepts with the ability to clearly and confidently communicate issues and any necessary changes with affiliate financial statements
  • High attention to detail and deadline-oriented
  • Highly organized with the ability to keep track of accounting issues and follow-up with multiple affiliates
  • Must be able to travel up to 10% internationally to countries in Africa, South American and/or the Caribbean
