Student Employment Coordinator Requisition ID: 2025-9066 # of Openings: 1 Location: US-UT-Logan Category: Student Programs & Services Position Type: Benefited Full-Time Job Classification: Exempt College: Student Success Department: Career Design Center Advertised Salary: Minimum of $44,880; Commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits Overview Reporting to the Assistant Director in the Career Design Center, the Student Employment Coordinator (Career Services Spec II) ensures the proper execution of student employment procedures, facilitates the communication and understanding of federal, state, and institutional policies related to student employment, manages student employment job postings for on-campus and off-campus positions, develops and delivers training for supervisors and student employees, and coordinates the annual Student Employee Appreciation Week. Hours are typically 8am-5pm with occasional early/late times for career fairs, special events, and EPAF/payroll deadlines. This position is eligible for hybrid work within the state of Utah. Responsibilities Student Employment Management (45%): Monitors position listings in Aggie Handshake Manages the completion of all Electronic Personnel Action Forms (EPAFs) for student employees Develops and implements marketing plans to encourage students to work on campus Plans on-campus employment fairs in fall and spring semesters Implements federal, state, and university policies related to Equal Opportunity Employment for student employment in collaboration with Human Resources Ensures the self-disclosure or criminal background check form is completed for each student hire Serves as an active member of the Student Employee Handbook Working Group in collaboration with Human Resources Tracks and reports employment and office statistics Training and Development (30%): Develops and implements relevant training for on-campus supervisors of student employees in collaboration with Human Resources Provides professional development training and resources for students based on the NACE career competencies and USU career learning outcomes Supports the Assistant Director to develop and implement professional development opportunities for USU internship coordinators Student Employee Appreciation Week (5%): Coordinates the nomination and selection process for the Student Employee of the Year award Collaborates with the Fairs & Events Coordinator to host the annual Career Champions and Student Awards Reception Plans and implements activities throughout Student Employee Appreciation Week Solicits prize donations from local businesses Career Design Center Administration (20%): Manages all student employees in the Career Design Center, including hiring, scheduling, supervision, payroll approval, and termination Develops and implements departmental training for all student employees in the Career Design Center Serves as an active member of the Experiential Learning Committee Serves as an active member of the USU Internship Coordinator Council Completes other duties as assigned by the Assistant Director or Executive Director Qualifications Minimum Qualification:
