Position Title: Tool Maker
Wage: $20.00 -$34.00/hour Shift: 1st Hours: 7:00am - 5:00pm Are your skills not being fully utilized? Reach your maximum potential by working with QPS! QPS Employment Group has a great opportunity available for a Tool Maker at a company in Bristol, WI. This is a potential to hire position for 1st shift. Apply today! Tool Maker Responsibilities: - Design, fabricate, and repair tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and other components used in the production of fasteners - Use a variety of precision measuring instruments and machines, such as lathes, mills, grinders, and CNC machines, to produce and maintain tools and components - Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications to understand the requirements for tool fabrication - Perform necessary adjustments and repairs to tooling as needed to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime - Work closely with engineering, production, and maintenance teams to troubleshoot tool-related issues and improve manufacturing processes - Inspect and test finished tools for precision, quality, and compliance with specifications - Document tool maintenance, repairs, and modifications to ensure proper record-keeping and traceability - Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained - Train and mentor junior tool makers or apprentices as needed Requirements for Tool Maker: - High School Diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship in tool making or machining is highly preferred - Proven experience as a Tool Maker, with expertise in tool design and fabrication, preferably in the fastener or manufacturing industry - Strong knowledge of machining techniques, CNC operations, and the use of precision measuring instruments - Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD files - Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot tool issues and improve processes - Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise tools - Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with tool-making equipment - Ability to work independently and in a team environment - Strong communication and collaboration skills kenoshapc@qpsemployment.com IND015 QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
