Position: Marketing Coordinator

Position Summary: Under direct supervision of Marketing Director, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for promoting the hospital, its service lines, and primary and specialty care clinics; development and execution of marketing campaigns; writing and editing for newsletters, press releases, social media content and special events planning.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Assists director in conducting research, writing strategies for marketing and advertising campaigns, and
    overseeing execution and measurement of campaigns for Hospital and Physician Offices and all other
    subsidiaries of Universal Health Services.
  2. Writes and edits copy for internal and external publications, including press releases, social media content
    and be able to take a lead role in coordinating collateral materials.
  3. Writes, manages and publishes content for email, web and social media platforms, ensuring consistency and
    accuracy of content
  4. Monitors social networking sites and interacts with customers, moderating online conversations, creating
    content and sparking discussion
  5. Develops, implements and maintains comprehensive and integrated internal communications plans for the
    health system, and recommend development and maintenance of appropriate channels to deliver
    organizational messaging.
  6. Serves as the primary writer of key leadership communications to internal audiences (physicians and staff).
  7. Key leadership communications include organizational structure and transitions in leadership, issues that
    threaten the stability or focus of the workforce, and updates on major change management initiatives.
  8. Works with internal teams to maximize the effective reach of all internal communications targeted to
    employees.
  9. Assumes responsibility for developing and chairing an Internal Communications Committee comprised of
    physicians, administrators and front-line employees to provide advice, counsel and feedback on internal
    communications plans, tactics and vehicles.
  10. Develops goals for and quantifiable measures of the effectiveness of internal communications and
    implements tools for ensuring consistent measurement of outcomes and feedback from employees.
  11. Develops and supervises an annual "internal communications audit" and presents the results and implications
    of the audit to Marketing leader.
  12. Serves as an internal and external communications consultant/advisor to departments, sections, programs
    and/or strategic initiatives where a comprehensive approach to internal and external communications is
    critical to success.
  13. Assists in maintaining external website content.
  14. Assists with media inquiries and coordinating and pitching media stories.
  15. Collaborates with Hospital and Physician Offices and all other subsidiaries of Universal Health Services on
    projects to enhance marketing of service lines.
  16. Manages brand for all distribution of marketing collateral for health system.
  17. Performs other related duties as required

Qualifications

Education, Training, Experience and Licenses/Registrations Required:

  1. Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, or related field required
  2. Graphic Design, Social Media content writing and planning experience required
  3. Three to five years' experience required

Physical and Sensory Requirements:

  1. Ability to read and write in English.
  2. Ability to communicate at an appropriate level with patients, families, staff, physicians, support agencies, vendors and
    community groups
  3. Ability to evaluate and interpret information and make independent decisions.
  4. Ability to tolerate prolonged sitting.
  5. Must have emotional stamina to deal with a variety of stressful situations including response to complaints, maintaining a
    calm demeanor and good judgment under stress.
  6. Ability to respond to pages, telephone and other auditory stimulation.
