Office hybrid in Dallas, TX Job Description Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Member of Technical Staff to drive the automation of our Salesforce Service site, connecting customers to support. This role ensures that products, processes, and systems meet quality standards and specifications. You will be primarily focused on building new features, leveraging Salesforce technologies, and conducting unit and integration tests. The application will ensure that Salesforce customers receive the best post-sales support, ensuring high availability, cost efficiency, and operational reliability.
Responsibilities:
  • Architect, build, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks (API and UI) for Salesforce across multiple clouds.

  • Write clean, maintainable code for automated test suites, leveraging best practices in test-driven development, data-driven testing, and modular design.

  • Lead peer reviews of automation code and test designs, ensuring consistency with coding standards, reliability, and performance goals.

  • Mentor developers on writing testable code and embedding automation hooks into new features.

  • Master the Salesforce platform's architecture, data model, and underlying tech stack to identify high-value automation opportunities.

  • Analyze business requirements and technical designs to derive comprehensive test strategies and coverage plans.

  • Define and implement end-to-end integration tests that span multiple Salesforce clouds and external systems.

  • Automate complex workflows-including varied org setups and data shapes-to validate cross-product interactions.

  • Drive the Test Design Review Board, championing functional, business-critical, performance, accessibility, and usability test scenarios.

  • Collaborate with product, UX, and engineering teams to ensure quality gates are met before release.

  • Work with customers and product owners to translate real-world use cases into automated test cases and data fixtures.

  • Advocate for automation-friendly enhancements in product design to improve reliability and testability.

  • Monitor and report on key quality metrics-test coverage, pass/fail rates, flakiness, execution time-and drive initiatives to improve them.

  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring rapid feedback and preventing regressions.

  • Organize and lead cross-product testing efforts, coordinating schedules, environments, and release readiness across scrum teams.

  • Partner closely with senior developers, PMs, DevOps, and UX to align on quality objectives and release criteria.

  • Investigate and debug automation failures and production incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.

  • Maintain test environments, data management scripts, and org configurations to minimize downtime and maximize test reliability.

Required Qualifications:
  • A related technical degree is required.

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET)

  • Proven programming experience in Java or Python

  • Proficiency with WebDriver/Selenium

  • Experience with developer tools such as Git, Maven, and Eclipse IDE, as well as HP QuickTest

  • Extensive knowledge in User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

  • At least 2 years of experience testing on the Salesforce platform

Desired Qualifications:

  • Salesforce Admin Certification
