About Salesforce

We're Salesforce, the Customer Company, inspiring the future of business with AI+ Data +CRM. Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good - you've come to the right place.

Salesforce's Product UX org is hiring a Senior Product Designer to join our Mobile Platform team. This team builds many of the components, patterns and experiences that power mobile across Salesforce, including the Salesforce Mobile App and Sales Cloud App, among others. As a Senior Designer, you'll take on complex platform challenges, collaborate closely with PM and Engineering partners and contribute to a growing team with a culture of experimentation and proactive ownership.

This is a high-impact role with strong cross-functional visibility. We're looking for someone with robust design thinking chops who is confident framing problems, exploring user flows, and experimenting in low fidelity before moving on to wireframing impactful and elegant solutions.

What Makes This Role Exciting:

  • Work with our latest design system while helping to define and scale our mobile design system

  • Build and test components and patterns in an off-core release cycle, allowing for faster iteration and innovation

  • Work on the foundation of Salesforce's mobile platform, powering experiences used across products, meaning lots of opportunity for impact and collaboration

  • Shape strategic relationships with partners across PM and Engineering

  • Tackle interesting, ambiguous problems with broad scope and high visibility

  • Join a supportive, growing team with strong mentorship and room for influence

A Bit About the Team

The Mobile Platform UX team is part of the Salesforce Platform organization. You'll be reporting to an empathetic, action-oriented manager who creates a safe space for experimentation and growth while providing direct and proactive feedback to help you do your best work. You will also have mentorship from a Principal level designer.

Responsibilities

  • Understand how to properly use and contribute to our mobile design system and component library

  • Build consensus and momentum with clear storytelling, documentation, and communication

  • Contribute to design critiques and uplift team craft

  • Work across teams to ensure design consistency and alignment across mobile products

  • Contribute to a positive, proactive design culture grounded in experimentation and learning

  • Collaborate closely with product owners, engineers, and user research teams to create a vision for your product area

  • Serve as a bridge linking design, product, engineering, and CX

  • Oversee multiple web and mobile application features, interfaces, and experiences

  • Communicate clear and compelling ideas to a wide range of key stakeholders using documentation, reviews, and presentations

  • Produce wireframes, storyboards, concepts, and other collateral to help communicate research results and make the case for new ideas

  • Create designs that adhere to and extend the existing style guide and design system

  • Generate detailed final design specs that inspire accurate developer builds

  • Work with developers and quality experts to deliver a polished final product

  • Promote and educate others on new interface guidelines and design patterns

  • Develop software that is global in reach, universal in design, and built for users of multiple languages and abilities

  • Advocate for accessibility by encouraging product and engineering management to prioritize accessible features and bug fixes

  • Support the vision for a product's creative identity, articulate it clearly and convincingly, and guide the team through its implementation

Experience & Skills
  • 4+ years of experience designing and delivering software products from start to finish as part of a cross-functional team

  • Experience designing for native mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android), hybrid apps, and web

  • Deep understanding of user-centered design methods and how to apply research and data to your decisions; ability to lead designer-led research

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence direction across a large organization

  • Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills

  • Comfortable designing within and contributing to design systems

  • Skilled at visualizing complex systems and simplifying them for users

  • Curious, action-oriented, and comfortable working independently

  • Fluency with tools like Figma and openness to learning new tools

  • Ability to deliver solutions on time, independently and with on-site or distributed teams

  • Ability to explore ideas, persuade, and build consensus on fast-moving projects with varying degrees of ambiguity and deadlines

  • Capability to deliver original, high-quality design work that is conceptually strong, meets business needs, and is at the right level of fidelity for each phase of a project

  • Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build close, trusting relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders across product and engineering

  • Familiarity with managing large design initiatives, including balancing competing priorities

  • Demonstrated desire to continually improve processes

  • Can design and think in systems, not just single-purpose apps

  • Considers how a design impacts ethics and equity-and has the conviction to speak up when it veers off course

  • Expert knowledge of current design tools such as Figma
