Lead Java Developer (Hybrid)

At Cognizant Digital Engineering, a small cross functional team comprised of a Product Manager, an Architect, Full-Stack Developers, UI/UX designers and Big Data analysts builds higher quality software faster siloed individuals working independently. Across our US Studio system or within client development sites, our Digital Engineering teams ideate and develop innovative cloud-based solutions following a Lean-Agile process with DevOps culture. Working in Cognizant Digital Engineering provides DevOps engineers consistent opportunities to push digital boundaries while growing their exposure to transformational technologies.

Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

• Build reusable components and libraries for handling APIs for web application.
• Work closely with UX, Design and Product to understand and build web application from scratch.
• Deliver functional and testable code with thorough unit testing to satisfy effective DevOps pipeline.
• Contribute to and enforce coding standards and also involve in code review through GIT flow process.
• Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

• 9-12 years of experience as a senior or lead hands on dev
• Have proficient understanding of java, spring boot, developing REST API and consuming them.
• Have worked on web application development.
• Have thorough knowledge on Unit testing.
• Have implemented Swagger UI in REST Services for interactive testing.
• Have setup pipeline in GitLab using tools like SONAR, black duck etc., is added advantage.
• Working in Agile teams across product, engineering, design and release
• If folks have AWS that is preferred too.

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
