Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative Lead Java Developer w/AWS to serve our diverse base of global clients. • Cognizant will only consider applicants for this position who are legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship (H-1B, L-1B, L-1A, etc.)

• Looking for a Java Backend onsite lead to manage the end-to-end delivery of backend services using Java (Spring Boot, REST & SOAP Web Services) deployed in OpenShift and AWS.
• Should collaborate with client teams including product managers, architects, QA and frontend teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and documentation.
• Guide offshore team on building scalable and high-performance applications and participate in code reviews, testing and debugging
• Ensure team adherence to best practices and standards as defined by the client and data protection in backend implementation.
• Monitor Team performance & progress and implement appropriate corrective actions to meet the contractual obligations.
• Provide technical leadership in spring planning, solution design and retrospectives.
• Provide Effective status reporting to cognizant and client leadership team.

• Spring Boot, REST & SOAP Webservices, AWS, Angular, GitHub, Junit, Jenkins & uDeploy, JBoss

• OpenShift, Python, Splunk, Terraform, Autosys, BPEL, WebSphere, Linux & Shell Scripting
• Strong understanding of REST API Design and best practices
• Should be Familiar with GIT, CI/CD pipelines and containerization
• Solid experience with AWS cloud Services, IAM and infrastructure-as-a-code concepts
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting and performance tuning skills
• Familiarity with Observability and logging tools such as Dynatrace & Splunk
• Should have very good communication skill and should be able to assess and analyze work with Client independently

The annual salary for this position is between $81,337 - $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
