Business Analyst - Sr

We are seeking a Business Analyst - Sr to join our team to provide mission-critical analyst support on USAF logistics/supply systems in a Program Management Office (PMO) environment. The candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) team member and provide functional and/or technical analyses, IT lifecycle management guidance, and expertise to ensure systems remain sustainable and that application system changes are incorporated properly. Candidate will be part of the broader PMO team consisting of Government personnel, SME Team, developer/sustainer/system integrator, and other support contractors. This position is remote and so is full time teleworking.

Responsibilities:

  • Review various artifacts, documentation, and deliverables provided by the Development/Sustainment Contractor to ensure valid and accurate implementation of requirements.
  • Support release activities and milestones/reviews.
  • Work with program stakeholders to facilitate activity accomplishment and resolve program/functional issues and mitigate risks.
  • Assist PMO in assuring system requirements are accurately identified, documented, tracked, and prioritized. Requirements may consist of functionality, system, architecture, or software design/development.
  • Provide direct functional support to the PMO to include participating in working groups on functional and user Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and business process modeling sessions.
  • Assist the PMO in assuring and managing tasks, milestones, and implementation of Business and Enterprise System (BES) lifecycle and agile methodologies are implemented by the Development/Sustainment organization within scheduled milestones and suspense dates.
  • Review, evaluate, and assist with the resolution of Software Problem Reports (SPRs), Deficiency Reports (DRs), Baseline Change Requests (BCRs), ECPs, software deployments, all change vehicles to include reviewing change requirements documentation to identify and assess impacts to the baseline system, reviewing and evaluating technical cost proposals and participating in configuration and test review boards.
  • Review and provide input on PMO testing activities and documentation.
  • Provide systems analyst support to other USAF logistics systems as assigned.
  • Provide end-user training support, formal or informal, at the system and subsystem levels to include but not limited to functional users' updates on system changes.
  • May require travel to other bases to support the mission.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Successfully complete a T1 Public Trust background check or higher.
  • 3 years of experience with SPERS or comparable systems.
  • Working knowledge of Centralized Asset Management (CAM) processes (Aircraft Missile Requirements (AMR), Logistics Requirements Determination Process (LRDP), Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Execution Plan, and Execution).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with Customers as well as other delivery teams involved in the problem resolution process.
  • Ability to drive results in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to work in a high stress and changing environment.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Working knowledge of agile methodologies and tools, i.e., JIRA.
  • Agile trained and/or certified.
  • Provide SPERS end-user training support, formal or informal, at the system and subsystem levels to include but not limited to functional users' updates on system changes.
  • Experience with Business and Enterprise System (BES) Directorate's lifecycle management process in an agile environment.
  • Working knowledge of AF Logistics systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools.

  • Work independently to accomplish tasks and lead small teams, if required.
