We instill an environment where employees feel engaged, satisfied and able to contribute their unique skills and talents while living and working as their authentic selves. We provide extensive opportunities for personal and professional development, building both employee competence and organizational capability to fuel exceptional performance through an inclusive environment both now and in the future.

Summary:

In this role, you will design, develop, and lead the deployment of high-impact, data-driven solutions and automated analytics products that transform how Vizient's Cardiovascular (CV)/Physician Preference Items (PPI) Category Management team delivers value to clients. You will serve as both a technical expert and strategic thought partner, leveraging advanced analytics, AI, and automation to drive scalable innovation and performance optimization across clinical, operational, and economic domains. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will define and implement advanced analytic strategies, build infrastructure for strategic data enablement, and lead the next era of data-powered category management that shapes the future of CV/PPI solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Translate complex clinical and business challenges into actionable machine learning and statistical modeling frameworks that drive innovation and insight.

  • Define and align analytics strategies with organizational objectives by partnering cross-functionally to support clinical, operational, and financial performance.

  • Drive transformation of traditional workflows into tech-enabled, scalable solutions, serving as the analytics and automation lead for the CV/PPI team.

  • Develop and maintain production-ready codebases in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant languages, ensuring reliability, scalability, and reproducibility.

  • Leverage modern data platforms (e.g., Azure DataBricks, Apache Spark, Tableau, Power BI) to manage data workflows, deliver real-time dashboards, and support decision-making.

  • Build and integrate AI and NLP models into frontline workflows to support consultants and stakeholders with real-time, actionable insights.

  • Oversee data integration and model development using diverse clinical, procedural, financial, and supply chain datasets.

  • Provide leadership in technical execution, including architecture, code reviews, and best practices, while mentoring team members.

  • Identify and advance opportunities for cross-domain collaboration, standardization, and innovation in analytics adoption across business units.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree preferred. Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Health Informatics, or related field is a plus.

  • 7 or more years of relevant experience in a data science or advanced analytics role within healthcare required, preferably with a focus in CV/PPI.

  • Experience working with healthcare data sources (e.g., claims, EHR, procedural, or supply chain) to inform clinical, operational, or financial strategies.

  • Familiarity with hospital operations, supply chain, or category management in a healthcare setting.

  • Proven ability to lead analytics initiatives, drive process improvement, and guide organizational transformation.

  • Skilled in using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, or SQL to develop insights and support scalable analytics solutions.

  • Experience working in cloud-based environments like Microsoft Azure and leveraging modern data platforms to support decision-making.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to mentor others and translate complex insights for executive and non-technical audiences.
