Team Lead, Accounts Receivable

Inotiv is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Team Lead to join our Finance team. This role will play a critical part in managing and supporting the day-to-day operations of our AR department, including overseeing collection and cash application functions, improving DSO, and ensuring compliance with internal policies. The AR Team Lead will serve as a key liaison between the AR Manager and staff, ensuring team goals are met with accuracy and efficiency. *This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience. The salary range for this role is $55,000 - $62,000 and can adjust along with the level of the role to match the person's relevant experience and/or education level.

On a typical day, the AR Team Lead will contribute to the Inotiv team by:

• In collaboration with AR Manager, lead collection and cash application functions
• Lead collection and credit application staff
• Ensure collection guidelines are adhered to and issues quickly resolved
• Reduce collection cycle times (DSO) where possible
• Serve as backup admin in Esker
• Assist in monitoring, tracking & enforcing department policies, procedures & goals
• Monitor cash receipts and application of adjustments to customer accounts
• Review collection reports to ascertain status of collections and balances outstanding
• Audit delinquent accounts considered to be uncollectible to ensure maximum efforts have been taken before assigning bad-debt status to account
• Assist in month end Accounts Receivable process
• Asist with information requests during audits
• Special projects and tasks as directed

To be successful in this role, this position requires that the AR Team Lead brings:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree and 3+ years related experience and/or the equivalent combination of training and experience which indicates the ability to do the job
• Familiarity with computer accounting systems; D365 and/or JDE experience is a plus
• Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products, particularly Excel
• Good organizational skills as well as the ability to communicate effectively with staff at various levels. Attention to detail and accuracy a must. Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Physical Activity

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment
• The noise level is usually moderate
