Position Purpose

Stark State College is seeking a dedicated and student-focused full-time Instructor of social science (psychology) to join us in the upcoming fall semester. The ideal candidate will teach a range of psychology courses, contribute to curriculum development, and support student success through innovative and instruction. The successful candidate will contribute to the college's commitment to academic excellence, student success, and community engagement. This position is a full-time, 180-day contract position starting in August 2025.

Typical Hours/Days of Work: Varied with each semester due to courses and office hours. Teaching assignments may include day, evening, weekend, satellite and/or online courses.
Location:
Our faculty have the opportunity to instruct in North Canton and Akron Campus as well as online.
Pay: $43,806 - $56,947

To be Considered You'll Need:
  • A Master's Degree in Psychology or related field OR a Master's Degree (any discipline) and 18 graduate credit hours in Psychology/related field required.
  • Candidate will be expected to possess a high level of proficiency in the English language. This proficiency is essential for effective communication, instruction, and interaction with students and colleagues.
Preferred Qualifications (although not required):
Previous teaching experience at the college level is preferred.
