JOB TITLE: Network Administrator (Senior)

GOVERNMENT AGENCY: Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Infrastructure Services & Back Office Support (ISBOS)

LOCATION: Remote; Employee must reside within a 50-mile radius of Clarksburg, WV in order to be available to come on-site to FBI facilities in Clarksburg, WV for on-call support in the event of an outage or for scheduled maintenance.

POSITION TIMING: Contingent on award; expected contract start date June 2025

ITC is seeking a highly capable Network Administrator to support the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division. This role plays a critical part in sustaining and optimizing secure network operations that support national law enforcement and intelligence functions across the country.

As a key member of the infrastructure team, you will be responsible for maintaining and securing computer networks and systems, including VPNs, routers, hardware, and software components. You will perform system installations and updates, troubleshoot performance issues, and ensure robust virus protection and firewall security. Your work will directly contribute to the continuous improvement and resilience of mission-critical IT infrastructure.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in network administration, a deep understanding of network protocols and operating systems, and a proactive approach to minimizing system downtime. Experience working within Agile environments and high-security government programs is highly valued.



Responsibilities

    Maintain computer networks and systems including software, mainframes, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
  • Install and configure network equipment to update or fix hardware or software issues.
  • Update virus protection software to keep data and communications protected.
  • Monitor computer systems to improve network performance for computer systems and networks.
  • Communicate networking issues to other employees and management, especially in training new users.
  • Fix software and hardware configuration issues for users on-demand or from inspection of the systems.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and operational procedures.
  • Diagnose and resolve network issues quickly to minimize downtime.


Qualifications

REQUIRED:

  • Experience: Minimum of eight years working experience with five years of experience in network administration.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Knowledge of network protocols, standards, and devices (e.g., TCP/IP, Ethernet, LAN, WAN, VPN).
    • Familiar with network security principles and practices (e.g., firewall configuration).
    • Knowledgeable with network operating systems (e.g., Windows Server) and management tools (e.g., Cisco IOS).
    • Experience working in an Agile organization using Scrum, XP, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Security Clearance: Active Top Secret clearance.

DESIRED:

  • FBI Program Experience: Prior exposure to FBI IT/Infrastructure programs and operations is highly desirable, as it will allow for a faster integration into the CJIS Division's mission and objectives.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, System Management, Business Administration, or a related field, preferred
  • Certifications:
    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
