Position: Senior Aviation Military Analyst (Maintenance and Facility SME) Summary: Senior Aviation Military Analyst: (Aviation Maintenance and Maintenance Facilities Expertise) The purpose of this position is to provide professional support services for Army Capability Managers (ACMs) and the Experimentation and Analysis Directorate (CEAD) located at United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE), Fort Novosel, Alabama Job Description:
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of formation-based assessments
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of simulation activities
- Analyze Aviation organizations in support of annual capabilities needs assessments.
- Tailor methodology and conduct analysis to best examine Aviation tasks, conditions, standards, and gaps across select Aviation formations
- Write/support the revision or re-writing of a substantial number of JCIDS, supporting, and new emerging requirements documents
- Review manned/unmanned platform programs currently in effect requirements documents
- Analyze validity of the current capability in respect to Large Scale Combat Operations
- Analyze the ability of the systems to operate in a Large-Scale Combat operational environment
Qualifications:
* Aviation Maintenance Technician with at least fifteen (15) years of aviation maintenance experience specializing in the management of personnel, supply, equipment, and facility assets to maintain and repair Army rotary, fixed wing, or unmanned aircraft systems
* Senior or Master rated Aviator is required
* A functional knowledge of airframe specific maintenance, phase flow management, budgeting, and logistics which include basic knowledge of the integrated logistical analysis program (ILAP) required
* Experience managing personnel, supplies, equipment, and facility assets to maintain and repair Army rotary, fixed wing or unmanned aerial systems required
* At least 5 years' experience staffing updates to the Page 16 of 53 AUG 22 Aviation Maintenance Facility Design Standard (CC21110)
* Experience with how the Aviation Maintenance Hangar Complex supports the maintenance, repair, and sustainment of manned and unmanned aircraft and associated equipment as well as the planning and conduct of flight operations, aircrew and maintainer training, and the deployment and redeployment of aviation units required
* Knowledge of the Fixed-Wing TDA Facility Standard (CC21110) / Tactical Unmanned Air Vehicle TOE Facility Standard (CC21115) required
* Experience with the Facility Investment Plan (FIP) executive level brief on Programed and Funded Aviation Facilities in the Future Years Defense Program (FYDP) required
* Must have comprehensive knowledge on possible maintenance, logistics and facility impacts to current identified gaps in Aviation Support Equipment
* Experience providing possible course of actions that support modernizing the airfields, integrating FLRAA institutional training, while maintaining current institutional training requirements of the Enduring Fleet required
