Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Hybrid with our client in Wilmington, DE. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Provides designs, specifies information systems solutions, and provides the highest-level technical direction in developing new or existing applications to solve essential and complex problems or enhancements.
  • Serves as a principal application designer for critical components and major modifications, effectively using analytical and technical skills, available technology, and tools to evaluate client requirements and processes.
  • Provides technologically sound solutions. Often directs and monitors the activities of less experienced personnel.
  • Complete and oversee complex systems analysis, design, and development efforts. Play a key role as a leader and individual contributor on complex projects.
  • Provide the highest level of analytical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies to assist the client areas and clients in meeting their short-term business goals and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Direct and monitor less experienced resources and coordinate development tasks for any scope project.
  • Prepare and manage the technical component of project plans.
  • Confer with other Development, Operations, and Technology staff on the overall direction of systems development, from technical analysis to user acceptance testing.
  • Prepare and review test data and execute detailed test plans.
  • Complete any needed debugging.
  • Evaluate complex interrelationships and effects among programs, interfacing applications, and platforms.
  • Prepare thorough, precise technical and functional specifications and update systems documentation.
  • Prepare charts, tables, and diagrams to assist in analyzing problems.
  • Review documentation prepared by less experienced staff.
  • Prepare and review assessments for any project of any scope, including needed tasks, estimated time frames, and effort.
  • Maintain the efficient operation and effectiveness of supported applications.
  • Recommend new technology, policies, or processes to benefit the organization and improve deficiencies.
  • Lead or participate in technical evaluations of vendor software.
  • Follow and promote the use of development standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a high level of technical aptitude and expert working knowledge of the supporting application(s), development environments, and the supported client environment.
  • Assist in developing expense and capital budgets.
  • Monitor team member performance and prepare annual appraisals.
  • Understand and adhere to the Company's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls by the Company's Risk Appetite.
  • Identify risk-related issues needing escalation to management.
  • Promote an environment that supports diversity and reflects the client brand.
  • Maintain client internal control standards, including timely implementation of internal and external audit points and any issues raised by external regulators as applicable.
  • Complete other related duties or projects as needed, which include playing a lead role in due diligence, cost/benefit analysis, or business study activities.
  • The position works under the supervision of Technology Management.
  • The job holder is competent to work independently on all high-level systems analysis and technical phases of development.
  • The position is capable of managing the activities of others on any scope project and often leads project activities.
  • The job holder monitors staff performance on assigned projects, evaluating their overall abilities and effectiveness in completing projects within schedules.
  • The position participates in the development of less experienced staff.
  • The position interacts with senior management, other technology personnel, clients, and vendors.
  • The job holder provides backup to higher management as needed and is called upon to serve as a technical representative on committees and ad-hoc projects.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $58.51 - $97.51 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week.

Length: Contract (12 months).

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in application development, software, and hardware platforms.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in operating computers and pertinent project management, word processing, and spreadsheet software.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in presenting to the target audience.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in coordinating between Applications and business units.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in recommending and implementing system solutions.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in driving project milestones and delivery dates.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in mentoring and leadership capabilities from a project management perspective.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the technical field of Institutional Financial.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in software packaging tools (preferably NuGet and NPM) and source code management tools (preferably Gitlab).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in SIEM tools (preferably Splunk) and log management platforms (preferably ELK).
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in scripting (YAML, PowerShell, Linux/Bash, or Perl).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Associate Degree.
  • Capable of working on multiple projects of a complex nature.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to assist in issue resolution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Good lateral thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of the client application framework.
  • Subject matter expert in business with knowledge or experience utilizing the application/system being supported.
  • Mastered understanding of applications supported with an advanced knowledge of interfacing/integrated applications.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as autonomously.
  • Ability to multitask for various components of complex projects.
  • Mastered knowledge and focus of the entire system to work on projects outside of normal business-as-usual (BAU).
  • Skill in .NET & Angular or similar
  • Skill in SQL Server, Oracle
  • DevOps toolsets (Git, GitLab, Artifactory, Docker, Kubernetes, Azure DevOps).
  • Products, preferably Collateralized Loan Obligations.
