Position Description:

This position performs a wide variety of functions related to applying a paint finish to completed units and sub-assemblies, some of which may have unusual finishes, with a brush or spray gun.

Essential Functions:

  • Mixes paints, enamels or lacquers to specified colors, consistencies and viscosities for spraying and brushing.
  • Prepare surfaces, mask and apply coating to a variety of parts, improvising to meet specifications required.
  • Touch up marred or defective surfaces on painted parts discovered during repair or inspection tasks.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Required Skills

  • Must have at least 6 months industrial or automotive painting experience, experience with precision work on small parts or unusual finished preferred.
  • Ability to use small tools and measuring instruments including- Zahn-Cup/ Micrometer.
  • Must be able to work in an environment where paint, and solvent fumes and dust are present.
  • Must be able to wear dust mask or respirator.
  • Must be able to color blend and color match existing finishes.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-3 years related work experience required; 3-5 years preferred
  • Previous experience with NADCAP audits preferred.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US, visa sponsorship not available.

This position is located at our Black Mountain NC facility. Relocation assistance is not available
