The AI Foundations team sits at the core of this vision, driving innovation to make Adobe Express smarter, faster, and more adaptive. By developing modular, reusable AI systems and crafting a robust Horizon AI Stack, this team will play a pivotal role in transforming creative workflows.

Drive AI Foundation's Engineering and Applied Research, focusing on scalable AI infrastructures and applied research initiatives.

• Lead the strategic development and execution of research and engineering initiatives.
• Architect and scale distributed AI/ML systems, bringing to bear cloud infrastructure, NoSQL databases, and high-performance computing.
• Coordinate research and development of novel AI/ML techniques to drive innovation.
• Develop collaboration between applied research, engineering, and product teams to integrate brand-new AI into production.
• Build and mentor a high-performing AI research and engineering team.
• Contribute to MLOps strategies for efficient model deployment, monitoring, and continuous learning.
• Establish standard methodologies for AI model evaluation, experimentation, and performance optimization.
• Lead multi-functional AI projects, managing critical metrics and research achievements.

• Proven leadership in engineering large-scale AI/ML infrastructure.
• Strong technical and managerial experience, leading teams in large-scale system development.
• Exposure to distributed computing, data engineering, and cloud-native architectures.
• Experience working on applied research problems from concept to production.
• Proficiency with Apache Spark, NoSQL databases (Cassandra, Elasticsearch, Redis).
• Knowledge of AI/ML model lifecycles and information retrieval.
• Proficiency in Python, Java and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Experience in real-time event processing, REST API development, and high-performance computing.
• Familiarity with MLOps pipelines, AI model inference, and continuous deployment strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on scalability and system efficiency.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience in building and scaling high-performing engineering and research teams.

• Bachelor's or equivalent experience, Master's or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• At least 15 years of proven experience in large-scale systems, distributed systems.
• At least 5 years of experience managing a multidisciplinary team of applied researchers, ML engineers, and backend developers.

• Experience with content generation, personalization, or recommendation systems.
• Familiarity with AI-powered design tools, creative automation, and generative AI research.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
