MEDICATION AIDE

COMMUNITY SUPPORT PROGRAM

FULL TIME - NON EXEMPT

General Summary: The Medication Aide is a key role in the CSP Health Homes. The primary role of the Medication Aide is to manage the medication room. The Medication Aide will play a vital role in assisting CSP staff and clients in obtaining medication.

Schedule: Mon-Fri, First Shift

Location: Warwick, RI

Essential Responsibilities:




  • Coordinate medication packing.
  • Update client medication lists.
  • Reconcile medication received from pharmacy.
  • Enter new medication changes into NewCrop.
  • Order prn meds from pharmacy.
  • Works closely with pharmacy/CSP teams to provide meds for clients.
  • Keep med room stocked with supplies.
  • Provide meds to clients when them come into Thrive for pickup.
  • Notify team nurse of any medication discrepancies.
  • Review e-mail account daily for new messages.
  • Carry and enliven a positive Thrive image consistent with the Thrive's Guiding Principles and professional code of ethics.



Education, Experience and Competencies:




  • Associates Degree/Vocational Technical Training or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Nursing assistant training and is a certified medication aide.


Certifications, Licenses Requirements:




  • Certified Medication Aide
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance which meets Rhode Island minimum standards required, or the ability to obtain necessary transportation in order to perform the responsibilities/tasks of the job.

All employees are considered benefit eligible if their schedule is 17.5 hours per week or more. Time-off balances are pro-rated for part-time employees. Insurance plans remain the same regardless of FT or PT benefit eligibility.

Reports To:

MEDICATION AIDE reports directly to Nursing Supervisor and will be supervised according to Thrive Behavioral Health Supervision Policy.
