Compensation:

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is$66,500.00 to$110,800.00.

Position Details:

The Business Analyst (Change Management) is responsible for ensuring ITSM Change processes are being reviewed on a daily basis for optimization. The Change Management Analyst will ensure that Change Management SLAs are met and that Grainger technology teams are planning and scheduling changes based on the risk, priority and impact. The Change Management Analyst will work with multiple cross functional GTG teams and Stakeholders to proactively plan changes across the enterprise with the intent to prevent service interruption.

This position requires an in-depth understanding of ITIL, ITSM and DEVOPS processes and the ability to use data and analytics to improve completion of change records with correlation to incident and problem tickets.

You Will:

  • Daily review and approval of changes (Normal\Emergency) ensuring completeness of change record (change tasks, CI's) including identifying conflicts.
  • Schedule and facilitate ICAB\CAB meetings
  • Creating, facilitating, managing release playbooks - monthly SAP Release, Monthly Linux Patching and major system upgrades
  • Schedule, facilitate workshops, lunch and learns, office hours with new processes or technology being showcased
  • Document all new and modified processes (KB Articles, Job Aids)
  • Provide daily technical support for Active Control tool and process including configuration, group role updates, etc
  • Participate in outage related escalations (and subsequent calls, where it makes sense) be present and vocal, help identify causing changes to drive issues to resolution. Correlate update incident, change and problem tickets
  • Work with other GTG cross functional teams to ensure the seamless and effective integration between change and other supporting processes (e.g., incident, configuration, problem)
  • Ability to proactively identify and solve problems independently with minimum supervision
  • On Call Rotation Support - Primary\backup according to schedule

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience working within Change Management process or Change Management team preferred
  • 3 + years of experience with ITSM tools (ServiceDesk, Service-Now, Remedy)
  • 2+ years of experience with SAP Change Management Automation tools (Active Control, Charm). Administration experience a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience with DEVOPS (CI\CD) methodology and practices. Service Now Devops Change Velocity Module experience a plus
  • Good problem-solving skills, with creative thinking and high attention to detail
  • Broad understanding of IT application and infrastructure principles
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and shifting workloads, in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills: ability to work on cross-functional teams and foster the team's commitment to the tasks
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks appropriately, on time and to a high standard
  • Demonstrate strong initiative, self-motivation, and commitment to the job
  • Ability to work independently, self-starter
