- Coordinate the successful recruitment cycle with hiring units for new and open positions at the University
- Serve as the point of contact for candidates and hiring units and provide exceptional communication and timely, valuable guidance
- Facilitate an effective recruitment process for open positions
- Partner with the recruitment team and the hiring unit to develop accurate job descriptions, advertisement language and locations, develop recruiting budget, manage the eRecruit system and develop recruiting timelines
- Conduct application reviews as requested
- Ensure new employees are prepared for their first day by conducting the preboarding and preparation process with collaborating with hiring units
- Serve as the backup for recruiting social media accounts
- Coordinate a positive candidate experience by initiating and maintaining timely and positive communication
- Serve as a resource to candidates to answer questions about the University's benefits or the local community
- Assist candidates in navigating the recruitment process
- Attend local job fairs and recruitment events as an ambassador of the University
- Ensure compliance of University policies, Affirmative Action Plan regarding recruitment efforts and Understanding of Policies
- Ensure timely and accurate data collection and processing
- Participate as a member of the Recruitment Team to develop best practices and review policies related to employment and recruiting matters
- Stay knowledgeable of innovative recruitment strategies used in higher education and other industries
- Provide backup support and cross training to ensure continuity of Human Resources services for S&T
- Assist with departmental tasks and projects as assigned
- Serve as an S&T representative for selected UM committees as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
An associate's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Business or related field
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Marketing or related field
- 3 years of full cycle recruiting experience
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbally and in writing
- Strong organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Customer service skills
Anticipated Hiring Range
The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.61-$21.00 hourly. Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
