Job Description

As a Armed Security Officer - Part Time in Uvalde, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Grocery and more .

As a Patrol Armed Officer in a retail environment, you will conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a visible presence. Your role involves interacting with the public, providing exceptional customer service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. This position requires an armed designation, and you will be responsible for monitoring activities and responding to any incidents that arise. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $15.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

Day Time
Tue 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Wed 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM
Thur 03:00 PM - 11:30 PM

Responsibilities:

    Provide customer service by implementing security procedures and site-specific policies, and engage in emergency response activities when necessary.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter, adapting to varying working environments and conditions.
  • Assist in maintaining a visible presence to help deter potential security-related incidents.
  • Engage with clients and visitors in a professional manner, addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have.
  • Document and report any unusual activities or incidents observed during patrols.
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
  • Participate in training sessions to stay updated on best practices and procedures relevant to the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Applicants must have an armed designation as a strict requirement.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with AU Driver Policy requirements.
  • Level III Armed Certification is required for positions in Texas only.
  • Texas Armed Security Guard Card is required.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
