The Director Sales Support Operations position is a member of the Power Systems Sales Support Team and plays a vital role in growing the business. The right candidate will be a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with cross-functional collaboration skills to align teams across sales, operations, and finance. They will also have a strong understanding of the power systems industry and Caterpillar and Allied products.

WHAT YOU'LL DO



  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for essential functions, including inventory management, quoting, and sales order processing.
  • Ensure uniformity in how reporting and data is shared and communicated.
  • Optimize sales order and invoice processes.
  • Understand and support Caterpillar's Power Systems Sales initiatives.
  • Implement an improved inventory tracking system to ensure all teams are aligned
  • Understand and develop the used fleet sales rollout and make-ready processes to maximize efficiency and sales potential.
  • Develop and refine reporting data to provide insights into sales operations, backlog, and financial performance.
  • Supervisor Responsibilities: Directly and indirectly supervise a team of employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee(s); planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employee(s); addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Other duties may be assigned.



WHAT YOU'LL NEED



  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years' experience in equipment sales
  • Knowledge of CAT and Allied products
  • Computer experience, DBS and PC
  • Must have valid drivers' license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Moderate computer skills. Familiar with web navigation, experience working with databases.
