Job Description: Electronic Security Service Technician *Location:* Maryland (MD)
*Employment Type:* Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) *Work Hours:* 7am - 3pm *Experience Level:* Intermediate *Position Overview:* A skilled Commercial Service Technician with strong fire experience is needed to join a growing team in Maryland. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting and problem-solving a variety of security equipment, managing service calls, and providing excellent customer support. *Key Responsibilities:* * *Service Calls:* Receive service call schedule a week in advance, averaging 4 tickets per day. Calls vary in duration from one hour to a couple of days. * *Company Vehicle:* Utilize a company-provided vehicle for service calls. * *Troubleshooting:* Diagnose and resolve issues with security equipment including Alarm.com, DMP, DSC (832, 1832, Alexor Panel, Impassa, Neo, Qolsys Panel), Bosch Keypad (B930), Honeywell, Concord, Vista, motion sensors, door locks, glass break detectors, smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors. * *Fire Panels:* Experience with fire panels such as Silent Knight (6808, 6820) and Potter AFC (1000, 100, IPA 60, IPA 100, IPA 4000V) is a plus, but training will be provided if necessary. * *System Knowledge:* Understand the setup and operation of security systems, including Alarm.com and other related systems. * *Site Visits:* Conduct site visits to new construction and occupied commercial buildings as needed. * *Customer Support:* Provide professional communication and support to customers. *Skills and Qualifications:* * *Technical Skills:* Proficiency in CCTV, access control, security systems, cabling (Cat5, Cat6), low voltage electrical work, alarm systems, fire alarm systems, and alarm installation. * *Fire Experience:* Strong experience with fire alarm systems is highly desirable. * *Low Voltage Cable Experience:* Experience with low voltage cabling is required. * *Construction Experience:* Ability to work in both new construction and occupied commercial buildings. * *Schedule Management:* Efficiently manage work schedules and service calls. * *Customer Service:* Excellent customer service skills and professional communication. *Top Skills:* * CCTV * Access control * Security systems * Cabling (Cat5, Cat6) * Alarm systems (Honeywell, Alarm.com, DMP, DSC) * Low voltage electrical work * Fire alarm systems *Additional Skills & Qualifications:* * Fire experience (top skill) * Low voltage cable experience * Ability to manage work schedules efficiently * Customer support *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
