More information is available on the company's website at: www.healthmarketsolution.com SUMMARY Responsible for leading the development and management of all processes, tools, and people for field offices and acquisition partner operations. Serves as a liaison between field office, acquisition partners, and SMS corporate support services. Assists with business plans, sales goals, marketing strategies, and day-to-day operations management. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintains effective communication with acquisition partners, and acts as a liaison between shared services at SMS and acquisition partners. * Mentor and coach acquisition partners and field office leaders on all business matters. * Leads and conducts regularly cadenced acquisition partner meetings. * Establishes and oversees continuity plans for each entity. * Collaborates and partners with the SMS Integration team; Coordinates and participates in agency onboarding. * Handles acquisition partner office leases and coordination of office moves. * Participates in key company-wide projects, as a project manager on occasion. * Coordinates with carriers, compliance department, and other areas as necessary to ensure all policies align with carrier and regulatory rules. * Direct supervision of designated personnel. Supervisory responsibilities include: hiring/terminating, disciplinary actions, assigning/checking work, plan/appraise job performance measurements, performance reviews, compensation recommendations, new hire orientation, and training; Provides policy and operational leadership. * Establishes, oversees and/or participates with annual goal setting, including revenue and recruiting goals based upon sales projections and annual marketing, or setting business plans for the business unit and monitoring performance against goals. * Adheres to budget guidelines and approved annual marketing or business unit plans. * Presents presentations at appropriate meetings, and includes information such as ongoing initiatives, future plans to be implemented, accurate reporting, reviewing objectives, reviewing progress, identifying needs or areas for improvement, and action plans for correction. * Establishes or oversees the development, maintenance, and monitoring of desk manuals, Standard Practice Bulletins (SPBs), and Critical Success Indicators (CSIs). * Works collaboratively with fellow senior staff to advance the values and mission of SMS by participating in and attending appropriate management and administration meetings; Provides strategic, policy and operational leadership. * Works collaboratively with fellow staff to advance the values and mission of Senior Market Sales and its subsidiaries by serving on relevant internal and external committees; Assists with special projects/assignments as requested by members of management. * Perform all duties in accordance with all company policies and procedures, and all federal, state and local laws, wherein the Company operates. * Performs other duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Bachelor's Degree in business, management, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience Ten (10) or more years of industry or related field (financial services, marketing, web-based business or call center) experience, preferably in the insurance industry Four (4) or more years of managerial or project management experience Health and Life Insurance Licenses SKILLS Knowledge of the general industry procedures, standards, systems, resources, practices and terminology. Knowledge of insurance services industries. Knowledge of accounting, budgeting and financial management principles and procedures. Knowledge of general office forms, processes and procedures. Working knowledge of federal, state and local laws as well as industry regulations. Knowledge of program and project management including outcomes, quality assurance, and satisfaction measurement and interpretation. Knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft Suite and MS Outlook software. Knowledge of supervisory techniques to accomplish instruction, motivation and training of personnel. Skill in the use of time management, organizational leadership and supervisory skills. Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Suite, MS Outlook, Adobe Acrobat software preferred). Skill in working effectively with inbound and outbound callers/customers. Skill in the use of office equipment including computer, fax, printer, scanner, telephone system, etc. Skill in negotiating and problem solving to resolve internal and external conflicts. Skill in maintaining effective working relationships with all customers, other management members, employees and the general public. Skill in working effectively with other company departments, internal marketing staff, home office personnel and agents. Skill to supervise, motivate and train. Skill in project management. Skill in developing effective communication materials. Ability to approach and communicate with a wide range of personalities in a professional and courteous manner. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in a constructive manner. Ability to demonstrate organizational leadership qualities and develop and foster trusting relationships. Ability to maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail while remaining flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests. Ability to read, write and communicate English effectively. Ability to analyze and accurately interpret budgets, financial reports and statistical data. Ability to work independently, exercise independent judgment, make and execute decisions. Ability to actively contribute to team effort. Ability to be patient under frustrating circumstances and demonstrate controlled emotional affect in difficult situations. Ability to maintain all company policies, including all confidentiality and safety policies. Ability to engage in effective interpersonal interaction, verbal communication and written communication. Ability to maintain a flexible work schedule to include evening and weekend hours as needed. Strong verbal and written proficiencies of the English language is required and bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.
