The Job We seek personnel to assist with race operations at races within the North Central Division. The Division has racetracks located in Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio. As a member of the Race Operations Team, you will be an essential part of the guest experience. In this role, you will wear many different hats and have the potential to work in several different areas - on and off the track. Your job will be to keep our fans, racers, and crew members safe and informed while still maintaining a fun and friendly atmosphere. Positioned all along the racetrack, assisting with track prep, various areas of the staging lanes, and on the drag strip (ready line, water box, and start line) at race events during the season. This may include managing the shipping compound which entails accepting incoming packages, utilizing the Square app for package tracking, and potential for handling cash and/or processing credit card transactions. These positions require the ability to assist staff or competitors as needed. This entails work which can include long hours (12-14+) outside in extreme weather, and in a fast-paced environment. Some racetrack operations jobs may require driving a commercial vehicle across the country. In this case, a CDL is required and must be registered in the FMCSA D&A Clearing House program.
