Role Overview

As a Pharmacy Manager, you will have a substantial impact on our consumers and clinic partners by advising on pharmaceutical care services and benefits. You will oversee the daily operations of the pharmacy, including dispensing prescription medication and spending one-on-one time with consumers. Key responsibilities include coaching, developing, and managing pharmacy staff, acting as a talent steward, and proactively seeking top talent for pharmacy roles.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Create a great consumer and clinic partner experience, building strong relationships to proactively meet their needs
  • Serve as an expert to the clinical staff, meeting with their team to achieve clinical outcomes
  • Counsel and educate patients on medication usage, adverse effects, schedules, and personal questions
  • Ensure the pharmacy and team members follow policies and standards in accordance with state and federal laws
  • Perform wellness services such as immunizations, flu shots, and other preventive services
  • Drive financial profitability and identify opportunities for growth in the pharmacy
  • Motivate, develop, and coach pharmacy staff to ensure they deliver exceptional service
  • Create an engaging team environment that promotes compassion and models our core values and culture
  • Promote opportunities and recruit top talent for our pharmacies
  • Review key performance indicators with pharmacy staff, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct workforce and business planning to achieve operational excellence
  • Build solid relationships with the community, stakeholders, and clinic partners to meet all needs and promote the pharmacy business
  • Drive marketing plans and materials to promote all pharmacy offerings

Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in pharmacy or PharmD
  • Current pharmacist's license in the state of Ohio
  • Current pharmacist's license in the state of Kentucky or willingness to become licensed in Kentucky
  • Certified immunizer or willingness to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire
  • Willingness to complete LAI Training


Preferred Qualification:



  • 3+ years of pharmacy leadership experience

The salary range for this role is $106,800 to $194,200 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
