OVERVIEW

Our water group in San Antonio, Texas is growing and seeking collaborative Water/Wastewater Engineers to join our hybrid team. Typical salary range for this position is $102,400.00 - $132,000.00. Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Perform assignments in the analysis and design of water and wastewater systems.
- Prepare and review working drawings, details, layouts, cost estimates, studies, reports and work products.
- Provide construction support and oversight, including administration, limited inspection, document review for design conformance standards, and support for municipal water and sewer operations and maintenance.
- Perform independent design tasks, review designs by others, and prepare bid documents, including drawings and specifications.
- Organize drawings, reports, calculations, and associated project deliverables with limited supervision (After receiving initial instructions from project manager).
- Make sound engineering decisions, exercise initiative and judgment, and possess in- depth industry knowledge.
- Interface with clients and local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Lead project progress meetings, make project presentations, and provide clear written communication.
- Some travel may be required.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (ABET Accredited).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in any state with the ability to obtain licensure in Colorado with 6 months.
- Minimum eight (8) years of experience in the design and construction oversight of water and/or wastewater systems.
- Experience with water and wastewater system design and operation.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to effectively interface with clients and local, state, and federal government agencies.
- Ability to become knowledgeable of and apply Merrick procedures when required.
- Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick's insurance carrier.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with any of the following is a plus:
- AutoCAD
- Water/Sanitary Sewer modeling
- BioWin Modeling
- GIS Systems and Programs
- Public works design experience with local, State and Federal governments is a plus.
- Masters degree.
- Local candidates preferred.
