Highspring is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Reporting to join our dynamic finance team. The Director of Financial Reporting will be responsible for overseeing the accurate and timely preparation and presentation of financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities:



  • Oversee the preparation and filing of accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and reporting requirements, such as GAAP and SEC regulations.
  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting processes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide guidance and support to the finance team in interpreting and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with evolving accounting standards and regulatory changes, and proactively assess their impact on financial reporting.
  • Coordinate and manage the annual external audit process, including the preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Review and analyze financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for external auditors and regulatory bodies.


Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in financial reporting, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and regulations, including GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficient in financial analysis and reporting tools, such as Excel, ERP systems, and financial reporting software.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
  • Experience in coordinating external audits and working with auditors is a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop a team.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • CPA certification
  • NetSuite experience
  • Blackline experience
  • Experience with Adaptive Planning Software


Location: In office.

Hybrid/Remote option may be considered with Management approval.

Travel Requirements:

Less than 25%

Physical Demands: The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position:

Frequent: Sitting, walking, eye/hand/foot coordination and repetitive motion

Occasional: Standing and bending

Infrequent: Lifting up to 10 pounds

Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Highspring believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure to be between $126,00 and $168,600. The individual may also be eligible for a variety of bonus and financial incentives based on individual and company performance.
