The Membership Eligibility Data Management Supervisor will be responsible for daily inventory oversight, eligibility analyst management, timecard approval, process support, and any other day to day operational functions as needed.

This position is full-time (40 hours/week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends.

We offer on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Manage the Membership Eligibility team and oversight of processes including membership add/change/delete, claim pends for eligibility validation, full member and provider validation, internal and external inquiries, group structure
  • Research member eligibility issues & escalations and respond to business partners with resolution
  • Ensure adherence to quality measures and timeliness
  • Provide direct supervision of all work performed to ensure timeliness and accuracy of assignments
  • Coordinate, supervise, and be accountable for the daily activities of business support, technical, production team, and/or unit support
  • Communicate performance metrics to the team and leaders across the department
  • Facilitate team meetings, 1:1's, focus groups & ad-hoc meetings to provide updates as necessary to keep the team informed
  • Conduct root cause analysis and coach team members on the findings and resolution
  • Develop action plans from employee survey results, 1:1's and focus group feedback to improve employee satisfaction
  • Partner with workforce management to manage OT and staffing plans to proactively plan for receipts and seasonal work changes
  • Identify process improvement opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness

Required Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age OR older
  • 2+ years of team lead OR 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • 2+ years of service experience analyzing and solving customer problems
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Word)
  • Ability to work Monday - Friday, in any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm PST, including the flexibility to work occasional overtime and weekends, based on the business need



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Membership eligibility experience
  • Project management experience
  • Documentation and process flow experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Access experience



Telecommuting Requirements:



  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

The salary range for this role is $59,500 to $116,600 annually based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
