The Target Pay Range for this position is $104,000.00-$126,900.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $80,800.00 - $150,200.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU'LL MAKE: As a Senior DEI Program Specialist at BECU, you'll be the driving force behind programs that foster a workplace where everyone feels seen, valued, and empowered. Your leadership will help shape inclusive initiatives-from Employee Resource Groups to cultural celebrations-that connect people and build belonging across the organization. You'll bring your creativity, strategic thinking, and passion for equity to design experiences that move our DEI vision forward, turning intent into meaningful action. - Champion DEI Program Strategy: Lead the development and execution of DEI programs that align with BECU's enterprise goals, including ERGs, cultural events, and inclusive engagement initiatives.
- Empower Employee Resource Groups: Guide the recruitment, onboarding, and governance of ERG leaders, executive sponsors, and strategic partners-ensuring each group has the support to thrive.
- Manage DEI Budgets Thoughtfully: Oversee budgeting and resource allocation for ERGs and organization-wide DEI initiatives, making sure every dollar supports meaningful impact.
- Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal groups like Marketing, Community Engagement, and Learning & Development to integrate DEI into BECU's broader business objectives.
- Leverage Data for Change: Track and analyze key DEI metrics to measure progress and surface insights, helping the team continuously improve and amplify impact.
- Bring Events to Life: Support planning of BECU's signature DEI events such as the Equity Summit and the Multicultural Emerging Leaders Program.
- Nurture External Partnerships: Manage relationships with DEI vendors and partners, ensuring external collaborations reflect and support BECU's values.
- Document and Propose with Purpose: Create compelling proposals, reports, and processes that support the execution of DEI strategies and keep stakeholders aligned.
- Act as a Strategic Thought Partner: Be a go-to resource and advisor for DEI-related projects across the organization, bringing both perspective and partnership to every conversation.
- Pitch In Where Needed: Be flexible in supporting other DEI efforts and evolving needs that help us move the mission forward.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
- Typically requires 5 or more years of experience in leading people and/or program/project management.
Desired Qualifications:
- 2 or more years of experience managing Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and data analysis tools (e.g., Tableau, Excel, Power BI, or similar).
- Experience managing program budgets and using data to evaluate program effectiveness.
- Ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse teams and departments.
- Well-developed organizational, time-management, and written/verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with designing and implementing governance structures for programs or employee-led groups.
- Experience integrating DEI principles into organizational policies, processes, or learning programs.
- Multilingual skills and ability to engage with diverse communities in multiple languages.
