Acara Solutions seeks highly qualified candidates to work on-site with our client in West Salt Lake City, UT. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • The Senior Testing Technician performs acceptance testing and diagnostic troubleshooting on electronic and RF-based equipment.
  • Performing system integration for final system testing, acceptance testing, and diagnostic troubleshooting on stand-alone electronic and RF-based equipment.
  • It adapts to different test levels, from lower-level assemblies (Digital, Analog, and RF) to box and system levels.
  • Works from schematics, diagrams, written and verbal descriptions, layouts, or defined plans from Engineering to perform routine testing, check-out, and troubleshooting functions.
  • Performs routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment to ensure conformance with final product specifications.
  • Calibrate and align RF and digital circuits per the Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP).
  • Diagnoses and isolates malfunctions down to component level and conducts repairs if instructed.
  • Conducts defined tests and collects data as assigned.
  • Performs final verification of product and paperwork associated with the final product.

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in electronic testing, diagnostics, fault isolation, troubleshooting, calibration, integration testing, final product verification, and documentation.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience managing multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience providing on-the-job training to peers and colleagues.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in RF (high-powered RF) and operating electronic test equipment (such as Oscilloscope, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer, and multimeter).
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • IPC or J STD solder certification.
  • FCC General Radiotelephone License.
  • Amateur Extra Class license (Ham radio).
  • Experience with Air Traffic Management systems.
  • Former Military.
  • Must be able to read and understand electronic schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Great with numbers, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills.
  • Possess analytical and critical thinking skills, the ability to apply logic and applied theory to resolve problems, and the patience to find resolutions to complex issues.
  • Self-motivated, critical thinker with a good technical background.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to track and report status on set schedules.
  • Able to work with PCs and applications such as MS Windows suite and other related software.
  • Soldering (surface mount) computer tech/electronics testing is ok.
