CTL Engineering is hiring Construction Management Co-ops (for Fall 2025) - Transportation projects.

  • This role will be based out of the Columbus office (in New Albany) and the transportation-related projects will be in the central Ohio region.

We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Management Co-op to join our dynamic Transportation Team for the Fall, 2025.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of tasks such as research, testing, problem solution, construction management/administration of transportation projects.
  • Participate in field visits and inspections as required.
  • Reviews plans, performs basic engineering calculations, permit writing and learns/assists with computer modeling and inspection processes.
  • Learns and executes engineering principles and process.
  • Assists Engineers/Technicians with the development and preparation of construction plans and execution.
  • Learns and applies engineering procedures and calculations to develop solutions to problems requiring innovation under close supervision.
  • Assists in the development and preparation of reports and studies to identify and recommend engineering and/or construction solutions.
  • Assists with collaborating with subconsultants - focusing on the schedule and adhering to the budget.
  • Assists in performing engineering, soil and construction inspections.
  • Conducts engineering research and provides technical assistance to consulting engineers, contractors, public officials, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or graduate degree in Construction Management.
  • Has the ability to reside in the Columbus region/central Ohio for the duration of the Co-op at their own expense (housing and/or housing stipends are not provided).
  • Basic understanding of construction principles and concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to learning.
  • Ability to make and read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
