Lab Technician - Full or Part Time _ (Soils Lab)

CTL Engineering is hiring for Lab Technicians for our Soils Lab (Part time and/or Full time)!

We provide civil/site design and land surveying, environmental, geotechnical, construction administration & inspection, accident reconstruction, roofing/building envelope, A/V system design, troubleshooting & installation, transportation design (bridge/roadway), and specialized testing services to the construction industry.

Highlights:

• This role will initially report to our Soils Lab located on Fisher Rd (west Columbus).
  • It is estimated that in early 2026, the new labs will be built and the role will then be based out of our new Corporate HQ in New Albany.
• We are looking for both Full time and Part time employees.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performs various laboratory tests to determine soil properties, such as particle size distribution, compaction, and strength.
• Accurately records test results and prepares reports, ensuring clarity and completeness.
• Operates and maintains laboratory equipment, ensuring proper calibration and functionality.
• Adheres to strict safety protocols and procedures in the laboratory environment.
• Collaborates with engineers, contractors, and other professionals to provide relevant soil information.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Geologists (or training in this discipline) is a strong plus, but is not required.
• Minimum qualifications are a High School diploma and experience in laboratory analysis and sample collecting.
